One of our reading activities is to make a board game of the novel that we are reading. Here is mine.

Exponents.

This week we were learning about exponents.  This slideshow was a little bit hard to make because this is a confusing topic. Hopefully you are able to  understand.

 On Friday my class was asked to re-write Goldilocks and the three bears in a different perspective. This is my story.

I'm hungry, tired and alone. Being banished is horrid. I was chased out of town for being a 'witch'. Maybe it was my golden hair and green eyes. The rest of the village has platinum blonde hair.
I walk across the forest floor well less of a walk and more of drag across the ground. I see smoke. "A house" I yelp, sounding like a total idiot. I pull my tired, sore body toward the direction of the house. I reach a small hut and shake the door nob. Locked. I pull a bobby pin from my hair and jam it into the lock. Click. The door swings open.

"Hello" I yell, "is anyone there". I leap at the sight of three bowls on the table. Walking up to table I notice the bowls are full of porridge. Normally porridge would make me sick but today it tastes like heaven, seeming it's the first thing I've eaten in days.

I walk to the bench with my bowl. My eyes feel heavy. The world around me fades into darkness...

I wake up to find a furry person in my face. Wait, that's not a human, its a bear. My eyes widen in fear. The bear opens his mouth and lets out a thundering shout. " GET OUT!!" I scramble out of of the house and run to the cover of the woods. I don't even look back...

The transformation of recurring numbers.

W.A.L.T: When to terminate a decimal answer and when to recur it. This was very confusing and and took a while. Next time I would try to add more information.

As a group we have been learning how to read between the lines and figure out inference riddles. I came up with this one. I am pretty happy with it and it was easy to complete. I hope you enjoy.

Multiplying decimals.

In this slideshow I will try to explain the strategy for maths that we learned this week. I hope it makes sense and is easy to understand. There is a small quiz at the end so if you complete it please tell me if you got it right or not. It ill tell me if I did a good job of explaining. My next steps are to make everything more clean and better looking.
